honestly, it’s not that he was a genius lyricist. he lyrics weren’t that out of the ordinary. maybe the topics, and here and there you’d be amazed but for the most part, they’re your typical lyrics. it’s the way it all fit together so beautifully with the random record scratches and loops of random words or phrases. it’s all put together so messy in the most organized way. as if he were like “a little bit of this, a small hint of this, maybe some dogs barking here.” who knows how he did it but each song came out a masterpiece. it’s so hard to describe. love ya bradley nowell.
